Possibly the most delicious food without the pretentious attitude can be found here. Fort Jesse Cafe reminds me of the kid in school who was cool without trying. The one who was smarter than most and kind to all. While they do source from local farms for much of their food, they don’t brag about it. As if saying to the rest of us, “Isn’t that the way it should be?” Much like the cool kid who didn’t know it, Fort Jesse owner Abby Strader would most likely deny that she has done anything remarkable (despite the line out the door every weekend).
